Early morning crash on Interstate 81 in the town of Tully

PRESS RELEASE

State Police in Lafayette are investigating an accident that occurred on Interstate 81 in the town of Tully.  The investigation has revealed that at approximately 7 a.m., a 2002 Chevrolet Propane delivery truck, operated by James P.  Fyffe, age 54, from Fulton, NY was traveling southbound on I-81 when he exited the west shoulder of the roadway and struck a tree.
 
Mr. Fyffe had to extricated by Tully Fire Department and was transported to SUNY Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with non-life-threatening injuries.  The propane truck did not leak or rupture during the crash.
 
The investigation is continuing.
