Pennsylvania Man Arrested while Driving Stolen Vehicle

JANUARY 13TH, 2018

The New York State Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man for allegedly operating a stolen motor vehicle while traveling on the New York State Thruway.  Troopers say that Lassine Sangho, age 23, of Philadelphia, PA was traveling along I-90 with no tail lamps when he was stopped in the City of Albany.  During the roadside interview and after further investigation by the Trooper, it was determined that the vehicle that Sangho was operating was stolen from a rental company based in Philadelphia.  The Trooper also detected an odor of marihuana from the vehicle and located a quantity of marihuana during the stop.  Sangho was arrested and charged with felony Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, and unlawful possession of marihuana.  He was remanded to the Albany County Jail on $5,000 cash bail and is due back in court at a later date.
