State Police investigating fatal house fire in Yorkville

PRESS RELEASE

New York State Police and Yorkville Police Department are investigating a fatal house fire at 95 Campbell Avenue in the village of Yorkville.

The fire was reported around 9:30PM Thursday night, seven different fire companies, led by Yorkville, responded to the Mutual Aid call. The structure at 95 Campbell Ave is a two and a half story home.  Firefighters removed two victims from the second floor of the home, 41-year-old Heather Mishlanie was transported to St. Lukes in Utica and then airlifted to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where she was listed in critical condition.  A seven-year-old girl, identified as Taylor Mishlanie was transported to St. Lukes Hospital in Utica where she was pronounced deceased.

Investigators from State Fire are assisting in determining the cause and origin of the fire.
