Williamsville man charged DWAI-Drugs.
 
On January 26, 2018, at approximately 2:25 am, State Police arrested Alec Paul, 19, of Williamsville, NY, for DWIA-Drugs following a traffic stop on Saunders-Settlement Rd in the Town of Lewiston.
 
Troopers stopped the vehicle Paul was operating after receiving a civilian complaint.  Following the stop, a strong odor of alcoholic beverage was noticed on Paul’s breath, as well as an odor of marihuana inside the vehicle.  Following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, he was taken into custody for DWI and transported to SP Niagara for processing.   Following an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert, Paul was charged with DWAI-Drugs.  He was issued appearance tickets for the Town of Lewiston Court.
