Niagara Falls man charged with gun and drug possession and DWI.
On January 28, 2018, at approximately 4:03 pm, State Police arrested Lonnie Richardson, 32, of Niagara Falls, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th Degree, and Aggravated DWI following a traffic stop on Military Rd in the Town of Niagara.
Troopers stopped the vehicle Richardson was operating due to its registration being suspended.  Following the stop, it was apparent that Richardson had consumed alcohol.  After having him exit the vehicle, Richardson was found to have a loaded 9mm Taurus pistol in his waist band.  He was also found in possession of approximately 47 grams of marihuana.  Richardson was taken into custody and transported to SP Niagara.  A breath test revealed his BAC to be .18%.  He was processed and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd, Criminal Possession of Marihuana 5th, Aggravated DWI, Operating a Motor Vehicle Without an Interlock Device and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration.  Richardson was arraigned in the Town of Niagara Court and remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
