Malone man arrested for falsely reporting an incident

On February 1, 2018, at approximately 3:10 a.m. State Police responded to a report of an attempt to locate at a residence on Low Road in the town of Malone.
On scene, troopers were advised by 62-year-old Douglas T. Stickney at that address that he could not locate a member of the household. An investigation revealed that the subject in question had not resided there in some time. Stickney became aggressive with the responding troopers and made threats of harm. Troopers placed him under arrest at which point he physically resisted. Stickney was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident 3rd degree, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct and Harassment 2nd degree.
Stickney was arraigned at the Town of Malone Court where he was remanded into the custody of the Franklin County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail, or $10,000 bond.
