Lisbon man arrested for child abuse

On February 2, 2018, at approximately 6:15 p.m. State Police responded to a residence on Wood Road in the town of Lisbon for a report of a dispute.
An investigation revealed that 21-year-old Devyn T. Johnston of Lisbon had been subjecting a 3-year-old child and a 4-year-old child to physical abuse. The 3-year-old child had suffered a broken arm and was treated at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. The 4-year-old child suffered multiple bruises all over his body, and was evaluated and treated at Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Johnston was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault 2nd degree (D felony), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A misdemeanor). He was arraigned in the Town of Lisbon Court where he was remanded to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bail bond. A stay-away order of protection was issued.
