These arrests stem from a report of a burglary which occurred on January 24, 2018, at the American Killer Bees Muay Thai College, located in the St. Lawrence Centre Mall in Massena. While investigators were interviewing a subject at Smith’s address in the village of Massena, proceeds from the burglary were located. Items stolen and recovered included a large collection of mixed martial arts training equipment.
Wickwire, a known associate of Smith's, was interviewed about Smith’s whereabouts at a residence in the village of Massena. When she was asked if Smith was inside the residence, she denied his presence there. However, the homeowner gave troopers consent to enter and Smith was located inside the residence, hiding in a closet. Wickwire was placed under arrest. She was released on an appearance ticket, returnable in Massena Village Court.
Smith arraigned in the Town of Stockholm Court, and was remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail with no bail due to him having serval prior felony convictions. He will reappear in Massena Village Court at a later date.
