Pair arrested for possession of crack cocaine, and marihuana subsequent to a traffic stop.

Coeymans, NY – On February 12, 2018, at approximately 2:37 a.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Coeymans for vehicle and traffic violation. During the interviewing of the driver Dennis R. Mossey, age 44, of Swanton, VT, for the vehicle and traffic violation probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. During the subsequent search of driver and the passenger Jamaal Brooks, age 41, of Bronx, NY, approximately 43 grams of Crack Cocaine was located on his Brooks person along with marihuana. Also located in the vehicle were several items of drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany, where they were subsequently charged with:
Both subjects were arraigned in the Town of Coeymans Court. Mossey was remanded to Albany County Jail in lieu of $5000. Cash or bond. Brooks was remanded to the Albany County Jail with no bail. Both are due back in the Town of Coeymans Court on February 15, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
