Staten Island, NY man arrested for possessing over 1 pound of Marihuana subsequent to a traffic stop.

Plattekill, NY – On February 15, 2018, at approximately 10:17 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Plattekill for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the interview of the driver for the traffic violation, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. The passenger, Antonio J. Rosa, age 20, of Staten Island, NY, was found to be in possession of more than 1 pound of marihuana. Rosa was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh, were he was subsequently charged with:
Rosa was arraigned in the Town of Plattekill Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5000. Cash or $15,000. Bond. No return court date available at this time. The driver of the vehicle was issued tickets for several vehicle and traffic violations and released without incident.
