Hoosick Falls man arrested for misdemeanor marijuana possession

On Wednesday, February 21, 2018, the New York State Police in Greenwich arrested 19 year old Hoosick Falls, NY resident John W. Bamrick for misdemeanor Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th following a traffic stop on Center Cambridge Rd. in the town of Cambridge. At approximately 8:55 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle operated by an associate of Bamrick for traveling at an unsafe speed. Upon interviewing him, detected the odor of marijuana, and the driver admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day. Further investigation found Bamrick, a rear seat passenger in the vehicle, to be in possession of a Ziploc bag containing approximately 28 grams of marijuana. He was taken into custody and transported to the Greenwich State Police barracks where he was processed without incident. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable to Cambridge Town Court at a later date.
