Schenectady Man arrested for Forgery and Grand Larceny

On February 26th, 2018, New York State Police Investigators based in Latham arrested K-Shawn Bankhead, age 40, of Schenectady for multiple felonies.
Investigators allege that back in February, 2015, Bankhead used a fraudulent credit card to make several purchases at area jewelry stores, among other retailers. Bankhead's credit card purchases totaled close to $3,000 before it was discovered by the unsuspecting owner of the credit card.
He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, and Grand Larceny 4th degree, both felonies. He was arraigned in the Town of Colonie Court, and ordered to be held at the Albany County Jail on $7,500 bail.
Bankhead is currently being held in the Schenectady County Jail on unrelated charges. He is due back in court on February 28th, 2018 in the Town of Colonie Justice Court.
