An investigation into suspicious activity at the Cohocton Development Corporation (C.D.C.) building, located at #71 Maple Ave., in the village of Cohocton, has resulted in the arrest of a Cohocton man. Just before midnight on February 23, 2018, N.Y.S. Troopers out of the Wayland barracks responded to the C.D.C. building for a report of underage drinking. Investigation revealed that two youths, ages 14 and 19, had been consuming alcohol, which had allegedly been provided by Thomas L. Cox, age 70, of #9 Wheeler St., Cohocton, N.Y., who was present at the time. Upon being charged with two (2) counts of Unlawfully Dealing With a Child, 1st degree (class “A” misdemeanors), Cox was arraigned before town of Cohocton Justice David Domm, and released on his own recognizance. Cox is scheduled to reappear in Cohocton Town Court at a later date.
