Drunk driver causes accident in town of Colonie

On March 10, 2018, Troopers from SP Latham responded to a car crash on Interstate 87 in the town of Colonie.
While interviewing the driver that caused the accident, Peter Moran, 34, of Queensbury, Troopers noted he showed several signs of intoxication.
Moran refused to take a chemical test to determine his BAC and was processed as a refusal.
While being processed, Moran failed to provide personal information for his charges.
He was charged with Common Law driving while intoxicated, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree and a number of traffic tickets.
Moran was held at Albany County Jail and will answer his charges at a later date, when his license will be further suspended for refusing the chemical test.
