On 01/04/2018, State Police from SP Geneseo received a larceny complaint involving a charity organization that collected goods for needy families.  A lengthy investigation revealed that numerous items were missing which were collected and were to be donated to the charity organization.  The victims were identified from a donation list and interviewed.  The allegations and subsequent investigation showed that Amberlee M. Veihdeffer, age 30, of Warsaw, altered a donation request list.  Numerous items were donated by victims and Veihdeffer kept possession of those items.  The items included toys, pants, shirts, gift cards, and other miscellaneous merchandise.  On 03/11/2018, Veihdeffer was arrested and charged with 5 counts of petit larceny.  She is scheduled to appear before the Geneseo Village Court on 04/03/2018 at 5:00 p.m.
