State Police are investigating a coach bus collision that occurred on Sunday April 9th, 2018 at approximately 9:08p.m.

The bus, owned by Journey Bus Line, was traveling from John F. Kennedy International airport heading to the Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, Suffolk County. There were 44 occupants on the bus including the driver, 38 students ranging from 16-18 years of age and 5 adult chaperones. The students and chaperones were returning from an Eastern Europe trip that was booked through EF Tours.
The driver Troy D. Gaston of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and the 43 passengers on board were taken to several area hospitals. Two of the injuries were serious, five of the injuries were moderate and the remainder of the injuries were minor in nature.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
