New Haven, CT man arrested for possession of Marihuana and Cocaine subsequent to a traffic stop.

PRESS RELEASE




Newburgh, NY – On April 9, 2018, at approximately 10:37 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Newburgh for an equipment violation. During the interviewing of the driver Terrance Calhoun, age 35, of New Haven, CT probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, approximately 18.66 grams of Cocaine were located along with approximately 23.77 grams of Marihuana. The driver was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Newburgh, where he was subsequently charged with:  
 
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (with intent to sell) 1 count  
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (Narcotic drug) 1 count
  • Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor
  • Unlawful Possession of Marihuana; a violation
  • Criminal Use Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree; a Class A Misdemeanor (2-counts)
  • Vehicle and Traffic violations
    
 
Calhoun was arraigned in the Town of Newburgh Court, no bail information or return court date available at this time.
