Albany, NY men arrested for possession of Xanax pills subsequent to a traffic stop.

Bethlehem, NY – On April 10, 2018, at approximately 10:36 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87, in the town of Bethlehem for a vehicle and traffic violation. During the Trooper’s interview of the driver Yogindra Cecil, age 22, of Albany, NY for the traffic violation probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. Both the driver and passenger, Joshua S. Bernard, age 28, of Albany, NY, were found to be in possession of approximately 1,020 Xanax Pills. Both males were taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Albany where they were subsequently charged with:   
 
  • Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 4th degree (stimulant); a Class C Felony  
  • Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 5th degree (with intent to sell); a Class D Felony   
  • Controlled Substance not in Original Container; a Violation
  • Vehicle and Traffic Violations (driver only)  
  
Both Yogindra Cecil and Joshua S. Bernard are currently being arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court, no bail or return court information available at this time.
