Man arrested for Menacing a Police Officer

PRESS RELEASE

On April 09, 2018 , State Police arrested Thomas Fiorilla, age 20, of Canandaigua, NY for Menacing of a Police Officer.

State Police received a report of a physical altercation near Watkins Glen, in Schuyler County.  The two victims identified the subject as Thomas Fiorilla, who assaulted them after being involved in an argument.  He left the scene prior to the arrival of the patrol.  Thomas Fiorilla was located nearby and led a trooper on a brief pursuit.  He pulled down a dead end roadway in the Town of Reading and exited his vehicle with a shotgun and fired one round as the trooper pulled down the laneway. He got back in his vehicle and fled.  He was taken into custody a short time later without further incident.

Thomas Fiorilla was initially charged with Menacing a Police Officer with further charges pending as the investigation continues.  He was arraigned before the Village of Montour Falls Court and remanded to the Schuyler County Jail in lieu of bail.
