State Police Troop "L" Announce the Arrest of a Brooklyn Man for Drug Possession

On April 10, 2018, at approximately 11:16 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a two-car hit and run motor vehicle accident on the eastbound Southern State Parkway at exit 25, in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County. Upon arrival, troopers canvassed the surrounding area and located a 2016 Dodge Journey occupied by its driver, parked on Amherst Street in East Meadow, NY, which was identified as being involved in the hit and run accident. Upon further investigation, the driver, Jorge A. Quiridumbay, age 30, of Brooklyn, NY, was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana, liquid THC, and an open alcoholic beverage. Mr. Quiridumbay was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th (D-Felony), Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation), Driving While Intoxicated (Misd.), Consumption/Alcohol in Motor Vehicle and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident (Traffic Violations). Mr. Quiridumbay was also found to have an active warrant for his arrest for unrelated charges in NYC. Mr. Quiridumbay is to be arraigned in Nassau County First District Court on April 11, 2018.
