Williston, VT man arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine and Marihuana subsequent to a traffic stop.

Michael Jennings 


Rotterdam, NY – On April 12, 2018, at approximately 9:14 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-90, in the town of Rotterdam for a speeding violation. During the interviewing of the driver Michael J. Jennings, age 25, of Williston, VT probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. Search of the vehicle and exterior of the vehicle revealed Jennings attempted to destroy/conceal approximately 82 grams of Crack Cocaine. Also located was approximately 1 grams of Marihuana. Jennings was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP Princetown, where he was subsequently charged with:  
 
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (Narcotic drug with intent to sell)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree; a Class B Felony (Hallucinogen w/intent to sell)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 5th degree; a Class D Felony (Cocaine)
  • Conceal/Alter/Destroy Physical Evidence; a Class E Felony
  • Obstruction of Governmental Administration 2nd degree; a Class A Misdemeanor  
  • Unlawful Possession of Marihuana; a violation    
  • Vehicle and traffic violation
    
 
Jennings was arraigned in the Town of Rotterdam Court and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash or $50,000. Bond. Return court date of April 16, 2018, at 4:00 p.m. has been set in the Town of Rotterdam Court.
