Troopers arrest North Creek man for making a false statement

PRESS RELEASE
 

Following a nearly three week long investigation, State Police at Chestertown arrested a man after he reported that he was stranded overnight on a chairlift at Gore Mountain Ski Center. 

 

Isaac Hyde, 37, of North Creek, was charged with Making a Punishable False Written Statement, a class A Misdemeanor.

 

Hyde alleged that after a day of skiing at Gore Mountain on March 31, the ski area closed and he was left stuck on a chairlift overnight.  Management at Gore Mountain reported the incident to State Police.  Troopers repsonded to the scene and obtained a written depostion from Hyde detailing the circumstances surrounding the incdent.  

The subsequent investigation revealed that Hyde knowingly provided information in his statement that was determined to be false.  

 

Hyde was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear at the Town of Johnsburg court on May 4th at 9:00 am.
