New York State Police, Troop L, announce the arrest of two Dix Hills men for possessing over 500 pounds of marijuana.

PRESS RELEASE

The New York State Police, Troop L Narcotics Unit, along with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, arrested two subjects following a long-term investigation.  A search warrant was executed at 1337 Carlls Straight Path in Dix Hills and two storage facilities located at 2083 and 2091 Jericho Turnpike in East Northport both located in Suffolk County, New York.  The seizure resulted in over 500 pounds of marijuana, which has a street value of more than $2 million.  In addition to the marijuana, there was more than $200,000 US currency along with multiple vehicles and real property worth millions of dollars seized. 
The two men arrested and charges filed are:
  • STEVEN POLIZZI, age 57 of 1337 Carlls Straight Path, Dix Hills, NY: 2 Counts of Criminal Possession of Marihuana 1st, 1 Count of Criminal Possession of Marihuana 2nd and 1 Count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
  • WESLEY SNIDER, age 28, same address: 1 Count each of Criminal Possession of Marihuana 1st and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.
 
Both were arraigned on 5/10/18 at Suffolk County 1st District Court and remanded to the Suffolk County Jail in lieu of bail.
