Two Moreau men arrested on felony cocaine charges

On May 17, 2018, Troopers out of the Wilton Barracks arrested two local men on felony cocaine charges. Troopers conducted a traffic stop in the Village of South Glens Falls after observing several traffic violations. Troopers then interviewed the two male occupants and while doing so, observed a forged registration sticker on the front window. The vehicle was unregistered and towed from the scene. A search of the vehicle prior to the tow resulted in Troopers locating a felony weight amount of cocaine. The two occupants, Alfonso F. Cottone Jr. and Joseph R. Scott were subsequently charged with Criminal Possession of a forged instrument, Criminal Possession of a narcotic drug, Criminal Possession of a narcotic drug with intent to sell, two misdemeanor counts of Criminal Use of drug paraphernalia, and numerous traffic offenses. Both men were arraigned in Moreau Town Court and remanded to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail.
