Sandlake man arrested for violating an Order of Protection from jail.

Troopers and investigators stationed at SP Latham arrested a 37-year-old Sandlake man for the second time for the Class E Felony of Criminal Contempt 1st

Jason E. Baldauf was arrested after an investigation revealed that he violated a court issued stayaway order for the second time by having contact with the protected person from jail and was also charged with the Class B misdemeanor of Stalking 4th.  Baldauf was in jail awaiting a preliminary hearing for Criminal Contempt 1st charges when he violated that order by contacting the victim from within the jail.  Baldauf continued to contact the victim upon his release which lead to the above charges.
           
Mr. Baldauf was processed at SP Latham and arraigned in the Town of Westerlo Court where he was remanded with no bail pending a court appearance on 06/04/2018.
