Ticonderoga woman arrested for drug possession following traffic stop

On June 5, 2018, at approximately 12:15 a.m., State Police arrested Carey L. Maldonado, 25, of Ticonderoga, following a traffic stop on Route 9N in Ticonderoga, on a 2018 Kia Forte for having no front license plate.
Following a K9 search of the vehicle, Maldonado was found in possession of approximately 15 grams of crack-cocaine, which was secreted on her person. Maldonado was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (with the intent to sell), a class B felony. She was arraigned in the Moriah Town Court where she was remanded to the Essex County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail, or $50,000 bond.
