Southeast man arrested for attempting to sell equipment he reported stolen

Southeast, New York – On June 1, 2018, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks arrested Ryan Sanabria, age 28, of Southeast, for Grand Larceny in the 4th degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, both class E felonies, and Falsely Reporting an Incident in the 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
In October of 2017, Sanabria reported recently delivered lawn equipment as stolen. The delivery company paid Sanabria for a total loss in the amount of $2,400. Months later the stolen items were found listed for sale online. Investigation determined the seller was Sanabria selling his previously reported stolen property.
Sanabria was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the town of Southeast Court on June 7, 2018, at 1:00 p.m.
