Fatal Motorcycle Crash in the town of Cicero

State Police are investigating a fatal car/motorcycle crash that occurred Friday evening at the intersection of Northern Boulevard and Interstate 481 in the town of Cicero.
The investigation revealed, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a 1969 Chevrolet Impala was south on Northern Boulevard, in the turning lane, at the intersection of Interstate 481. The driver of the car, Edward Taglialatela, age 59 from Cicero, NY was making the left turn onto I-481 when it struck a 1980 Honda motorcycle that was traveling north on Northern Boulevard.
The operator of the motorcycle, Frank L. Lizardi, age 44 from Liverpool, NY was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse where he was pronounced deceased. A passenger on the motorcycle, 32-year-old, Tonya Tiewul was transported to SUNY Upstate Medical Center with severe leg injuries. She is listed in serious but stable condition. Taglialatela was not injured in the crash.
The investigation is continuing.
