Livingston Correctional Facility Correction Officer arrested for Bribe Receiving 3rd Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband

PRESS RELEASE



 

The New York State Police along with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision Office of Special Investigations arrested  Livingston Correctional Facility Correction Officer Raul Santiago, age 38, for Bribe Receiving 3rd Degree, Promoting Prison Contraband 2nd Degree, and Official Misconduct. An investigation by DOCCS OSI and State Police determined that Santiago was being paid by an inmate? to bring Synthetic Marijuana (also known as K2) into the prison. DOCCS OSI and State Police apprehended Mr. Santiago as he reported for his overnight shift on Friday, June 8, 2018.

Santiago was arraigned at the Livingston County Regional court and was remanded to the Livingston County jail in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond. The investigation is continuing.
