PA arrested with drugs, active warrant

(Barker, NY – July 5, 2018) – On July 4, 2018 at approximately 4:30 p.m., New York State Police at Gateway arrested Ryan J. Cokely, age 32, of New Milford, PA for the misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd degree and Operating a Vehicle Without an Interlock Device.
A trooper patrolling Interstate 81 in the town of Barker observed Cokely operating a vehicle with equipment violations. During the investigation, it was learned that Cokely had an active warrant in the city of Binghamton, he also did not possess a valid license in New York and he did not have a court mandated interlock device in the vehicle he was operating.
Cokely was subsequently arrested and issued appearance tickets for the town of Barker Court on July 10, 2018. He was then turned over to the city of Binghamton to answer to his warrant.
