Hoosick Man Arrested For Using A Stolen Debit Card

PRESS RELEASE

Brunswick Troopers arrested a Hoosick man for possessing and using a stolen debit card. John Rifenburgh, 55, of Hoosick, was charged with Identity Theft in the second degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree, both Felonies and Petit larceny, a misdemeanor.  A woman reported to State Police Brunswick that her Debit Card was stolen and used in both Schaghticoke and Pittstown.  Troopers subsequently identified Rifenburgh as the suspect. Rifenburgh was arrested for both incidents and was issued an appearance ticket to appear in both the Pittstown and Schaghticoke Courts at a later date.
