State Police continue to investigate robbery in Keeseville

The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Plattsburgh continues to investigate the robbery of the Sunoco Station at 271 State Route 9N in Keeseville, NY.
On September 22, 2018, at approximately 11:30 p.m., an individual is observed entering the store with a long rifle and demanded money from the clerk. The individual appears to be wearing a black or dark colored “hoodie” sweatshirt, black or dark colored pants, and dark colored footwear. In addition to the rifle, the individual appeared to carry a black or dark colored bag and was wearing black or dark colored gloves. The individual was described as a black male, approximately 5’8”, and weighing approximately 175-200 pounds. The individual fled the store and is believed to have run northbound on State Route 9N, towards the village of Keeseville, NY.
Authorities continue to follow leads and are requesting the public’s assistance to establish a timeline and piece together events surrounding the robbery. The below photograph is a surveillance image depicting the robber.
