White Plains, NY man arrested for Aggravated DWI after driving wrong way on the New York State Thruway.

Aldrin R. Gastelu Chuquihuac 


Ardsley, NY – On October 1, 2018, at approximately 2:39 a.m., State Police responded to the area of I-87, in the Village of Ardsley for a report of a possible wrong way driver. State Police located a vehicle with a single male occupant traveling in the opposite direction of travel. During the interview of the driver of the vehicle, Aldrin R. Gastelu Chuquihuac, age 47, of White Plains, NY, he was found to be intoxicated. He was transported and processed at SP Tarrytown, where his blood alcohol content was determined to be .22%. He was subsequently charged with:    
 
  • Driving While Intoxicated; a Unclassified Misdemeanor
  • Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC of .18% or more; a Unclassified Misdemeanor  
  • Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree; a class A Misdemeanor
  • Multiple Vehicle and Traffic Violations
 
Gastelu Chuquihuac was issued an appearance ticket and multiple traffic tickets and released to a sober third party. A return court date of October 15, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. in the Village of Ardsley Court has been set. No injuries reported.
