Man arrested for Robbing Foodtown in Cortlandt

Cortlandt, New York – On Semptember 27, 2018, the New York State Police from the Cortland barracks arrested Robert Patterson, age 41, of Cortlandt, for Robbery in the 1st degree, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession in the 3rd degree, a class D felony.
On September 27, 2018, at approximately 2:45 p.m., Troopers responded to the Super Foodtown Supermarket, on Albany Post Road in the town of Cortlandt for a report of a robbery. Investigation found Patterson used a knife to forcibly steal food from the Supermarket.
Patterson was transported to Westchester Medical Center for a preexisting medical condition, and arraigned before the town of Mount Pleasant Justice. He was remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. Patterson was scheduled to appear before the town of Cortlandt Court on October 1, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.
