Pitcher man arrested for assault and menacing

(Pitcher, NY – October 2, 2018) – On September 30, 2018 at about 7:50 a.m., New York State Police at Norwich arrested Michael A. Brown, age 36 of Pitcher, NY for the misdemeanors of Menacing in the second degree and Assault in the third degree. He was also charged with the violation of Harassment in the second degree.
Troopers responded to a physical dispute at a residence on State Highway 26 in Pitcher. Brown is accused of yelling, striking and threatening three women with a pocket knife. One of the women told troopers she struck Brown with a saucer after he bit one of the women. Brown did sustain lacerations and was treated at Chenango Memorial Hospital and released. Brown was then taken into custody and arraigned in the town of German Court. Brown was remanded to the Chenango County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bond and is to appear in the town of Pitcher Court on October 16, 2018. An order of protection was issued to all three females.
