Oneida County Man charged with cocaine possession following traffic stop

On October 6th, 2018, State Police in Remsen arrested 31-year-old, Ryan M. Barnard from Poland, NY for Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd degree, a class “B” felony and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor.
State Police conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on State Route 12 in the town of Trenton for a seat-belt violation. The operator, Ryan M. Barnard, was found to be in possession of a clear plastic bag containing approximately 28.1 grams of cocaine and one vape cartridge containing cannabis oil. Investigation also revealed that Barnard’s operating privilege in the New York State was suspended for failure to answer summons.
Barnard was charged with Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd degree and Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree, as well as Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 3rd degree and several other vehicle & traffic violations. Barnard was transported to Oneida County Jail where he was held on $15,000 cash bail or $45,000 bond.
