Man charged for having stolen property in Fort Covington

On October 9, 2018, at approximately 9:53 a.m., State Police responded to a report of a stolen go-cart at 483 Donovan Road in the town of Fort Covington.
The go-cart was located at a residence at 109 Tuper Road in the possession of Roy Barrick, 33, of Fort Covington. Barrick had begun to dismantle the go-cart by removing the roll cage and spray painting it. He initially told investigating troopers he didn’t steal the go-cart, and he later recanted.
Barrick was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree, Making a False Written Statement, Criminal Trespass 3rd degree, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th degree, all misdemeanors. He was released on appearance tickets returnable to the town of Fort Covington Court.
