Meredith man arrested for unlawful imprisonment

(Meredith, NY - October 10, 2018) – On October 6, 2018 at about 10:29 a.m., New York State Police at Oneonta arrested Donavan K. Flood, age 27 of Meredith, NY for the felony of Criminal Mischief in the third degree, the misdemeanors of Unlawful Imprisonment in the second degree, Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree and the violation of Harassment in the second degree.
Troopers responded to complaint of a domestic dispute at a residence on County Route 10 in Meredith, Flood was no longer on scene. The victim told troopers Flood physically beat the victim on October 5 and continued on October 6. The victim also accused Flood of not allowing the victim to leave the residence and broke their phone when attempting to call for help. The victim further told troopers that they were able to run out of the residence and flag down a passing car. Troopers located Flood at Walmart in Oneonta where he was arrested. He was arraigned in the town of Kortright Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. The victim was issued an order of protection.
