UPDATE* New surveillence photos of vehicle that passed school bus in Pittstown

State police believe the vehicle involved in Tuesday's incident may be a 2007 Jeep Commander with Connecticut license plates. Investigators were able to locate new surveillence photos of the vehicle, they are provided below.


The New York State Police are asking the public's assistance in identifying a vehicle seen passing a school bus on State Route 7 in the town of Pittstown.

On October 16, 2018 Troopers from SP Brunswick responded to State Route 7 in the area of Upstate Auto Sales to check for a dark colored Jeep SUV that passed a stopped school bus nearly striking a child who was getting off. The incident took place at approximately 4:00p.m. The vehicle was traveling west on State Route 7 and was being operated by a white male believe to be 40-50 years of age. The vehicle may have Canadian or out-of-state license plates.
