Traffic Stop in Sand Lake leads to drug arrest

On October 16, 2018, a Trooper from the Schodack Station arrested 23-year-old Adam L. Cummings for drug possession.

At approximately 6:20 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on Gettle Road in the Town of Sand Lake for equipment violations. During the Trooper's interview of the driver, probable cause to search the vehicle and its occupants was established. The search resulted in locating a glass smoking pipe containing cocaine residue, a glass smoking pipe containing marihuana residue and a quantity of Xanax pills.

Cummings was arrested, transported, and processed at SP Sand Lake. He was subsequently charged with:

*Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree; a Class A Misdemeanor

* Unlwaful Possession of Marihuana; a Violation

Cummings was released on an appearance ticket to appear in court at a later date.
