Driver charged with DWI, possession of Meth following foot pursuit

On October 20, 2018, at approximately 11:20 p.m., Troopers observed a gray Audi fail to maintain its driving lane on W. Genesee St. in the town of Camillus. Troopers initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of an apartment complex on Whedon Road. The operator of the vehicle, later identified as Devin J. Manni, exited the vehicle and fled on foot.  
Troopers pursued on foot and Manni failed to obey all commands to stop. Troopers then deployed a Taser, at which time, Manni then became complaint and was taken into custody without further incident.

Devin J. Manni, age 26, from 625 Wolf Street Syracuse, NY was arrested for the following:
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (class “A” misdemeanor)
  • Resisting Arrest (class “A” misdemeanor)
  • Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree (class “A” misdemeanor)
  • Driving While Intoxicated (unclassified misdemeanor)
  • Unlawfully Possession of Fireworks (violation)
Manni was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center pending centralized arraignment.
