State Police investigate a report of a menacing in Norfolk

On October 24, 2018, at approximately 6 a.m. State Police responded to a report of a male subject armed with a gun and acting in a threatening manner at a location on South Main Street in Norfolk.
Subsequent to an investigation, 26-year-old Abram J. Kahl of Hogansburg, was found to have possessed firearms, a stun gun, and a knife, as well as various narcotics and marijuana.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree (felony), 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree (misdemeanor), Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree (misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree (felony), Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd degree (misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (felony), Criminal Possession of a Hallucinogenic 3rd degree (felony), and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd degree (felony).
Kahl was arraigned in Massena Town Court where he was remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond.
This investigation is continuing.
