On October 24th, 2018, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Richard Banach II, 39, of Sinclairville, for Assault 3rd Degree, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree.
The Troopers and Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies responded to a Sinclairville residence for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, the responding officers located a female victim who stated she was choked and struck multiple times by Banach, and also that Banach had damaged her vehicle with an axe. The victim had visible injuries that supported her claims and was subsequently transported to an area hospital by ambulance for further evaluation. Banach had fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, but was located later in the day by the Troopers and placed under arrest. Banach was processed at SP Jamestown, arraigned in the town of Charlotte Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
