On October 28, 2018, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the New York State Police in Canandaigua arrested William W. Myhand, 29, of Rochester, following a brief vehicle pursuit on I-490 from Ontario County into Monroe County.  At approximately 3:03 p.m., a Trooper attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a vehicle which was observed traveling 90 mph in a 65 mph zone in the town of Victor.  The operator, later identified as Mr. Myhand, failed to pull over until exiting the Interstate at exit 27 (Bushnell’s Basin), at which time he fled the vehicle on foot.  Numerous officers consisting of NYSP, Monroe County Sheriff’s and Ontario County Sheriff’s offices patrolled the area between Bushnell’s Basin and Victor for approximately 1 hour, until Mr. Myhand was located at his place of employment in the Town of Victor.   Upon being taken into custody, it was learned Mr. Myhand was recently released on parole for a Robbery charge.  Mr. Myhand was charged with Unlawfully Fleeing in a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree, numerous traffic citations and Violation of Felony Parole.  He was remanded to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment the following morning.
