NEW YORK STATE POLICE
Major Darrin S. Pitkin
Troop B Commander
On October 28, 2018, at approximately 2:14 a.m., State Police conducted a traffic stop on McEwen Road in the town of Lawrence on a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up truck for failure to signal a turn.
The driver, 49-year-old Victor A. McLaughlin, of Lawrence, was subsequently arrested for DWI. McLaughlin refused field testing and also refused to provide a breath sample to determine the alcohol content of his blood. He was charged with DWI and further ticketed for unsafe turn, failure to keep right, and refusal to take a breath test. McLaughlin was arraigned before the Town of Brasher Court and released on his own recognizance. He is to reappear in the Lawrence Town Court at a later date.
