Cortlandville man arrested for felony level DWI

(Cortlandville, NY – October 29, 2018) – On October 23, 2018 at approximately 6:57 p.m., New York State Police at Homer (Interstate Patrol) arrested Jonathan D. Breed, age 66 of Cortlandville, NY for the felonies of Driving While Intoxicated (previous DWI arrest within 10 years) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the first degree. He was also charged with the misdemeanors of Operating a Motor Vehicle without Ignition Interlock Device and the violation of Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Breed was also issued traffic tickets for No License and Failure to Comply with the Lawful Order of a Police Officer.

He observed the vehicle Breed was operating failing to comply with the traffic directions he was giving. The trooper stopped the vehicle and determined Breed was intoxicated; his reportable B.A.C. was .12%. A further revealed he has been previously convicted of DWI, making his arrest a felony. Marijuana was also located in Breed’s possession. He was arrested and subsequently arraigned in the town of Cortlandville Court where he was released on his own recognizance and directed to appear on October 31, 2018.
