Troopers in Steuben County arrest Corning man on drug charges

Ongoing drug interdiction efforts by the New York State Police has resulted in the arrest of a Corning man. Investigators and Troopers from the Bath and Wayland barracks have charged Demarques B. Underwood (aka “Dutch”) of E. First St., Corning, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd degree, a class “C” felony. Underwood was an occupant of a vehicle which was stopped in the village of Bath for a traffic violation, and was found to be in possession of a large quantity of “crack” cocaine which was packaged for sale.
Underwood was arraigned before village of Bath Justice Chauncey Watches and remanded to the Steuben Co. Jail without bail. He is scheduled to reappear in Bath Village Court on November 7th, 2018 at 3:00 P.M.
