Troopers arrest a Lyons man for Assault 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th and Resisting Arrest.

On October 29, 2018, State Police BCI in Lyons report the arrest of Jason E. Vannorstrand, age 24, of Lyons, New York for one count each of Assault 2nd, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th and Resisting Arrest. The arrest stems from Troopers responding to a domestic incident on 10/25/18, which occurred on Jackson Street in the Town of Lyons. Troopers subsequently located the suspect involved in the domestic incident in Lyons Central Park armed with a metal baseball bat. Vannorstrand refused to comply with numerous verbal commands of the Troopers and subsequently struck a Trooper with the baseball bat and further resisted arrest. Vannorstrand was arraigned in the town of Lyons Court before Judge Philip Desain who set bail at $5,000.00 cash / $10,000.00 bond, and remanded him to Wayne County Jail to reappear on 10/30/18 at 9:00 a.m.
