Limestone traffic stop leads to felony drug charges for Jamestown man

On November 3, 2018, SP Olean Troopers arrested Blake D. Smith, 43, of Jamestown, NY for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana, and several traffic violations.

During a traffic stop in the hamlet of Limestone in the town of Carrollton, Troopers conducted a probable cause search of Smith’s vehicle, which located nearly 35 grams of cocaine and nearly 39 grams of crack cocaine, along with a small quantity of marijuana.

Smith was arrested and arraigned in Allegany Town Court. He was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail without bail. He is due to appear in Carrollton Town Court later this month.
