Bolivar man arrested for aggravated DWI, DWAI – Drugs, endangering the welfare of a child, and aggravated unlicensed operation

On November 5, 2018, SP Amity Troopers arrested Chad D. Griswold, 36, of Bolivar, NY for Aggravated DWI – With a Child in the Vehicle, DWAI – Drugs, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

During the investigation of a vehicle stopped in the roadway on State Route 19 in the town of Scio, Troopers discovered Griswold unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was in gear and running, with a child present. Troopers located small quantities of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Griswold was treated with multiple doses of naloxone at the scene, then transported to Jones Memorial Hospital. He was treated and released, arrested, and transported to SP Amity for processing.

Griswold was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Scio Town Court later this month.
